TDY Medical Staffing, Inc. is currently looking for a Relief PerDiem LPN to attend school / ride a school bus for a child with special needs .  A typical relief day would be 8:00 am to approx 2:30pm  Coverage needed for planned and unplanned absences of the primary LPN, on days when classes are in session. Georgia/Alabama School Instructional Systems Specialist / Pupil Personnel Services may schedule additional hours before, during or after the regular school day to include field trips.

Well Qualified Applicants must:
Be a Licensed Nurse (LPN).
Have at a minimum of 4.0 months experience working with pediatric and adolescent individuals.
Have at a minimum 4.0 months experience working in educational settings.
Have at a minimum 4.0 months experience with provision of nursing services in accordance with the
implementation of 504 Plan.
Be proficient in English.
Possess basic computer skills.
Be able to work the portion of the scheduled school year calendar covered by the performance period
Be able to administer all required medical procedures during the school calendar
Able to provide continuity of care with regard to medical procedures to be competed in the student’s
educational setting as a follow-up to medical procedures conducted outside of school.
Provide nursing services in accordance with 504 Plan for one student.
Provide continuity in care. A ‘continuity in care’ approach is a requirement in order to ensure student is
medically stable for participation in learning activities at school without jeopardizing vital life functions.
Attend meetings and assist in the development of the 504 accommodation plan for students found eligible for
nursing services.
Perform observations, on the bus per guidance of SPED Coordinator.
Maintain confidential 504documentation files to ensure compliance with the Privacy Act 10
