TDY Medical Staffing, Inc. is currently looking for 2 well qualified Medical Technologist to work in the Philadelphia area.
Shift work is as follows:
Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:30pm (with weekend rotation).
Mon - Fri Day/Evening shift

Medical Technologist will perform the following duties:
Performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. Testing procedures are performed on a variety of biological specimens and/or environmental samples using manual or automated techniques, and require a broad exercise of independent judgement and responsibility with minimal technical supervision. The work performed is in a variety of laboratory disciplines, such as chemistry, toxicology, coagulation, hematology, immunology, immunohematology (blood banking), urinalysis, microbiology, mycology, parasitology, molecular biology, and flow cytometry.
Major duties include: Performs a broad range of laboratory procedures including all testing and tasks of the medical laboratory technologist occupation.
Evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis.
Maintains and documents the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment.
Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity, test sensitivity, and specific factors, which influence test results.
Communicates effectively and courteously while working as a healthcare team member.
Organizes work and sets priorities to meet deadlines.
1-3 years of Microbiology experience.
A negative PPD or negative chest xray are required annually as well as proof of immunizations. If selected for hire, TDY can assist with this. Preference for candidates with ASCP, however may not be required.
